You may be in a season where everything looks fine on the outside, but something feels unsettled inside.
Maybe many things are changing at once — children growing up, your marriage evolving, aging parents, career questions, or relationships at work and in your life that no longer feel quite right.
You may feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or quietly alone in it all.
You don’t need someone to fix you or give you answers.
You need space — to reflect, to remember what matters, and to gently peel back the layers life has placed around you.
We all carry an inner light — the truest part of who we were before expectations and coping patterns shaped us.
Over time, that light can feel dimmed.
This is where our work begins.
Together, we slow down, ask meaningful questions, and uncover the clarity that has always been within you.
You are not becoming someone new.
You are uncovering who you have always been.

Hi, I’m Maureen.
I’m the youngest of six children, a wife of over 30 years, a mother of four grown children, and a woman who has walked through many seasons of change myself.
I know what it feels like when life shifts — when children grow up, careers evolve, parents age, and you quietly begin asking,
Who am I now?
For many years, I poured myself into my family and the people I love. And while I wouldn’t change that, I eventually realized I had lost touch with parts of myself.
My clarity didn’t come all at once. It unfolded slowly — through time in nature, reading, yoga, meditation, coaching, therapy, and sitting with the hard questions while listening for my own answers.
Over time, I began to understand something powerful:
The answers we’re searching for are already within us.
And that’s how I approach this work. Not as someone who has your answers — but as someone who will walk beside you, ask questions, and create space for you to rediscover your true self — the self that has always been there, even if it feels distant right now.
If you’re here, it may be because something inside you is shifting too.
And I want you to know — you don’t have to navigate that alone.

It was the first month of my coaching training.
I was struggling with a peer coaching relationship and made the difficult decision to stop coaching them.
I was upset. Shaken. Questioning myself.
On my walk to the beach, my thoughts wouldn’t stop.
Did I make the right decision?
Did I break it off inappropriately?
What am I doing investing all this time, money, and energy at this point in my life?
Will I be a good coach?
Will I really help people?
Will I be able to create my own business?
Will it be successful?
Am I smart enough?
You know how when one thing goes wrong and suddenly all of our insecurities come rushing in?
By the time I reached the beach, I paused and took a deep breath.
I spoke to my Higher Power and asked for a sign.
Specifically, I asked to find a piece of blue beach glass.
Green, white, and brown are the most common colors in my area.
Blue is rare. Cobalt blue — my favorite — is even rarer.
Not thirty feet down the beach, I looked down. And there it was.
I felt crazy excited. I bent down and picked it up, almost laughing.
When I held it in my hands, I thanked my Higher Power — and I felt my body soften. More relaxed. More sure.
As my thumb touched the glass, I noticed a few grains of sand resting on it in the shape of a smiley face. By the time my brain registered what I was seeing, I had already moved it.
I wish I had taken a picture. But it doesn’t really matter if I have proof.
That moment told me something I already knew deep down.
I am meant to coach.
All of my experiences — every season of my life — have led me here.
Blue glass makes me tingle. The feeling reminds me of the idea shared by Marie Kondo — that when something truly belongs in your life, it creates a spark of excitement inside you.
That’s how blue glass feels to me. That’s how coaching feels to me.
Coaching isn’t just something I do.
It’s who I am.
Whether I do it as a profession or simply as a way of being in the world, I know that being a coach is part of who I am.
And that is how Blue Glass Coaching was born.
